Owned by John Lawes, this very rare
1938 R51RS is fitted with an ex Otto Kolle prepared engine. When raced
as an outfit it had the distinction of being the first non-British
machine to win the VMCC race - starting at the back of the grid, it
led by the time it exited Gerrards Bend at Mallory Park on the first
lap. |

An unusual R51SS, the sporting version of the R51. This
machine was owned by Charles Lock, the former owner of MLG, the London
BMW agents.
