Details of
this model are a little sketchy - BMW themselves do not list it and
the chassis numbers used do not appear on the Parts CD. I understand
that around 180 were sold in the US during 1990/91 but am not aware of
this model being marketed anywhere else in the world - if you have
information, please let me know. Thanks to Rob James and Richard Munoz
for the information. Apparently this machines is referred to as an
R100 Classic and the handbook supplied was for the R100RT. I now have
what appear to be confirmation that this model was also sold in Japan
as one has been spotted in an on-line auction there by Jeff Birtwistle.
Tim Taylor informs me that this model was also sold in New Zealand. It
now seems likely that some of these machines were delivered with an
'S' fairing. |
